Control-M for GCP Managed Instance Groups

GCP Managed Instance Groups enables you to manage a set of virtual machines that share the same configuration as a single entity.

Control-M for GCP Managed Instance Groups enables you to do the following:

  • Create, update, delete, and control individual instances in managed and unmanaged instance groups.

  • Manage GCP Managed Instance Groups credentials in a secure connection profile.

  • Connect to any GCP Managed Instance Groups endpoint.

  • Introduce all Control-M capabilities to Control-M for GCP Managed Instance Groups , including advanced scheduling criteria, complex dependencies, resource pools, lock resources, and variables.

  • Integrate GCP Managed Instance Groups jobs with other Control-M jobs into a single scheduling environment.

  • Monitor the status, results, and output of GCP Managed Instance Groups jobs.

  • Attach an SLA job to the GCP Managed Instance Groups jobs.

Setting up Control-M for GCP Managed Instance Groups

This procedure describes how to deploy the GCP Managed Instance Groups plug-in, create a connection profile, and define a GCP Managed Instance Groups job in Control-M SaaS and Automation API.

  1. Run one of the following provision image commands:

    • Linux: ctm provision image GCP_Managed_Instance_Group_plugin.Linux

    • Windows: ctm provision image GCP_Managed_Instance_Group_plugin.Windows

  2. Create a GCP Managed Instance Groups connection profile in Control-M SaaS or Automation API, as follows:
