Control-D/WebAccess Server Configuration

Control-D/WebAccess Server enables users to view reports stored in various repositories at various locations, which are decollated from the Control-D Mainframe repository.

Control-D/WebAccess Server consists of the following two components:

  • Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application: Provides real-time report access and report viewing capabilities for end users, through the Internet.

  • Control-D/WebAccess Server Desktop: Configures and defines Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application features, which enables users to view, transform, and approve reports.

You must configure the following three modules on the Control-D/WebAccess Server Desktop before you can use the Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application:

  • Configurations: Define system-specific attributes, such as Transformers, for instances of Control-D/WebAccess Server components installed at a site.

    The following procedures describe how to configure Control-D/WebAccess server with the Control-D/WebAccess Server Desktop:

  • Definitions: Instructs the Control-D/WebAccess Server how to relate to the site-specific items that they manage, such as, how to show reports.

    The following procedures describe how to define Control-D/WebAccess server with the Control-D/WebAccess Server Desktop:

  • Log: Enables you to define logging criteria for the Control-D/WebAccess Server Desktop and Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application, as described in Configuring Control-D/WebAccess Server Log Files: Stores process messages issued by Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application and Control-D/WebAccess Server Desktop in log files.

The following procedures describe how to create a logical view and generate statistical reports with the Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application.
