Control-D/WebAccess Server

The Control-D/WebAccess Server consists of two components, which provides report access through standard web browsers from Control-D repositories:

• Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application:

  • Serves as a gateway to centrally stored reports for all users in an organization.

  • Enables you to view and transform reports to various formats, such as AFP to PDF, and approve reports in a web browser.

  • Configures and applies a logical view to reports, which simplifies navigation and enables you to analyze reports in Excel.

• The Control-D/WebAccess Server Desktop:

  • Is a configuration tool, which customizes the Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application user interface for your work environment.

  • Defines and configures Transformer and Transformation settings, which enables you to transform reports within the Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application.

The Control-D/WebAccess Server connects to a web server, which enables you to access to the Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application through standard web browsers. Components such as, ISAPI, CGI, or SERVLET, direct web browser requests to the Control-D/WebAccess Server, where it fulfills these requests and delivers reports to your organization's web browsers in the Control-D/WebAccess Server Web Application.

The Control-D/WebAccess Server accommodates an unlimited number of users, with diverse repositories and multiple locations, and ensures that authorized users can maintain report access.
