This procedure describes how to view and modify a previously defined local Workload Policy.
- On the IOA Primary Option menu, select option W.
The Workload Management Entry Panel is displayed. For more information about this screen, see Workload Management Entry Panel.
- Specify option WL (locally-managed Workload Policies), and press Enter.
The Control-M Local Workload Policies List screen is displayed. For more information about this screen, see Workload Policies List screen for Local Workload Policies.
- In the OPT field next to the Workload Policy that you want to view or modify, type S (Select) and press Enter.
The Policy: <Policy name> screen is displayed. For more information about this screen, see Policy: screen.
- View the parameters and settings in any of the following sections. If you are viewing locally-managed Workload Policies, modify any of the parameters in these sections, as relevant.
- General - Name and activity status of the Workload Policy; see General Parameters
- Policy Filter - A combination of job attributes that determines which jobs are included in the Workload Policy; see Filter Parameters
- Policy Rules - Any number of rules that define a restriction or special attribute for the jobs associated with the Workload Policy. For example, rules can limit the usage of resources by the jobs in the Workload Policy and the number of jobs that can run concurrently. Each of the various rules includes a time period for when to enforce the rule.
Optionally, you can specify a Load-Index threshold level for applying the rule, or define a bypass for the rule based on how close jobs are to their DUE-IN time.
See Rule Parameters and Scheduling parameters in a Workload Policy rule.
- Press PF3 to exit the Workload Policies List screen and save your changes. Note that changes are not saved until you exit this screen.
You can choose between saving locally (Option 2) and saving and applying to the active environment (Option 3). Only Workload Policies in Active status are applied.
To exit without saving your changes, choose Option 1.
