Workload Policies List screen for Local Workload Policies

The Workload Policies List screen displays a list of Workload Policies defined in Control-M for z/OS.

The following fields are displayed for each Workload Policy:

Field

Description

OPT

A field for entering various management options, as described in the next table.

NAME

The name of the Workload Policy.

TYPE

The types of rules defined in this Workload Policy, any combination of the following:

  • R – Resource-type rule, which limits the usage of resources
  • J – Job-type rule, which limits the number of jobs that execute concurrently
  • S – Separate Execution type rule, which ensures that jobs of the current Workload Policy execute separately from jobs of any Workload Policy specified in the rule

FILTER

The combination of job attributes (in abbreviated form) that defines the group of jobs included in this Workload Policy.

STATUS

Current activation status of the Workload Policy, either ACTIVE or INACTIVE.

The following command is available for use through the command line:

ADD <Workload_Policy_name> — Create a new Workload Policy

To request one of the following options, type the option in the OPT field to the left of the name of the Workload Policy and press Enter.

Option

Description

S (SELECT)

Display details of a single Workload Policy on the Policy: screen and modify details.

I (INSERT)

Create a Workload Policy by copying an existing one, and insert it in the list. This option opens the Policy: screen.

D (DELETE)

Delete Workload Policies from the list. Multiple Workload Policies can be selected for deletion.

A (ACTIVATE)

Activate a specific Workload Policy that is currently inactive.

N (INACTIVATE)

Inactivate a specific Workload Policy that is currently active.
