The following table describes the scheduling parameters for each of the types of time periods that you can define in a Workload Policy rule.
Note:
Table 155h Scheduling parameters for the different types of Workload Policy periods
PERIOD TYPE |
Scheduling parameter |
Parameter description |
---|---|---|
1 (DAYS) |
ON WEEKDAYS |
The days of the week to apply the rule. Specify individual days (with commas in between days) or ALL. For example: MON,TUE,THU |
FROM TIME |
The range of hours each day when the rule is applied or not applied. Specify times using the HHMM format, where HH ranges from 00 to 23, and MM is one of the four quarters of the hour (00, 15, 30, or 45). For example:
If no range of hours is specified, the rule is applied for the full 24 hours of the each day. |
|
UNTIL TIME |
||
2 (BETWEEN DATES) |
FROM DATE |
The range of days in the time period. Specify dates using the yyyymmdd format. |
UNTIL DATE |
||
FROM TIME |
The range of hours each day when the rule is applied or not applied. For more details, see option 1 above. |
|
UNTIL TIME |
||
3 (BETWEEN DATES AND TIME) |
FROM DATE |
The date (yyyymmdd format) and (optional) time (HHMM format) of the beginning of the time period. |
UNTIL DATE |
The date (yyyymmdd format) and (optional) time (HHMM format) of the end of the time period. |
|
4 (WEEK DAYS RANGE) |
FROM WEEKDAY |
The day of the week (three-letter format) and (optional) time (HHMM format) of the beginning of the time period. |
UNTIL WEEKDAY |
The day of the week (three-letter format) and (optional) time (HHMM format) of the end of the time period. |
|
5 (SPECIFIC DATES) |
ON DATES |
Any number of individual dates (in yyyymmdd format) on which to apply the rule. |
FROM TIME |
The range of hours each day when the rule is applied or not applied. For more details, see option 1 above. |
|
UNTIL TIME |
||
6 (ADVANCED SCHEDULING) |
Advanced parameters for more flexible scheduling, similar to the basic scheduling parameters on the Job Scheduling Definition Screen. |
|
SCHEDULE RBC |
The name of a rule-based calendar (RBC) defined in the IOA Calendar Facility (Screen 8). For an Exclude RBC, add the "!" character as a prefix to the name of the RBC. |
|
RELATIONSHIP |
Logical operator (And/Or) between the scheduling criteria of the specified RBC and the remaining scheduling parameters (the next few parameters, from the DAYS parameter to the DEFINITION ACTIVE parameters). |
|
DAYS |
Days of the month to apply the rule. Subparameters are:
If you specify a value for the DAYS parameter, do not use the DATES parameter. |
|
WDAYS |
Days of the week to apply the rule. The WCAL subparameter identifies a calendar that contains scheduled working days. A specified value must be either a valid member name, or an * to indicate that the calendar specified in the CONFCAL parameter should be used. |
|
MONTHS |
Months to apply the rule. If you specify a value for this parameter, do not use the DATES parameter. |
|
DATES |
Specific dates in the year to apply the rule. If you specify a value for this parameter, do not use the MONTHS parameter or the DAYS parameter. |
|
CONFCAL |
Name of a calendar used to confirm scheduling dates. The optional subparameter SHIFT adjusts the scheduling of the rule if the original scheduling day is not a working day. For more information, see CONFCAL: Basic Scheduling Parameter. |
|
DEFINITION ACTIVE |
Apply the rule only between the specified dates — only after the FROM date and only before the UNTIL date. Valid values for these two parameters are:
|
|
FROM |
||
UNTIL |
||
FROM TIME |
The range of hours each day when the rule is applied or not applied. For more details, see option 1 above. |
