Load-Index History screen

This screen displays a history of Load-Index levels for a specific Load-Index over time. The list displays changes in the calculated level, as well as every manual action — override, release of override, or new note. In addition, if no change in load level and no action is detected for at least 15 minutes, a new entry is added at calculation time to indicate the current load level.

Calculations are performed at the following times:

You enter the Load-Index History screen from the Load-Indexes Status screen by entering option H for a specific Load-Index.

OPT: ? LOAD-INDEX LEVEL CALCULATION

The table on this screen displays the following columns of data:

Table 155n Columns on the Load-Index History screen

Field

Description

O (OPT)

A field for entering management options

To display details of the Load-Index calculations on the Load-Index Calculation Details screen, type ? in the OPT field to the left of a Load-Index level entry with a measurement action (the letter S in the ACT field), and press Enter.

DATE

Date of the entry, when data was calculated or a change was initiated

TIME

Time of the entry, when data was calculated or a change was initiated

SET BY

Origin of the value that was set — CONTROLM, user ID, or console name

NOTE

The textual note associated with the action (if a note exists)

ACT

The type of action that occurred, impacting the level of the Load-Index, one of the following:

  • A — activation or inactivation of Control-M, when levels of Load-Indexes (not including those of type External) are temporarily set to IDLE
  • S — set based on one of the following:

    • measured values (for Load-Index types UTIL and 4HRA)

    • values obtained from an external utility (for Load-Index type External), as done through the CTMAPI or modify commands

Note: When an override is in place, the S appears in parentheses, and the overridden, effective load level is displayed. For the actual, calculated load level at such times, use the ? option.

  • O — override (see Overriding the load level of a Load-Index)
  • R — release of an override (see Releasing an override on a Load-Index)
  • N — note set (using the N option on the Load-Indexes Status screen)

LEVEL

The Load-Index level, one of the following:
CRITICAL, V-HIGH (very high), HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW, IDLE
