Run Control‑D under TSO. Copy the procedure CONTRLD3 to your procedures library using the name CONTROLD.
The program CTDMON must be authorized under TSO and must be defined to TSO as an authorized module.
Add CTDMON to the list of authorized programs (the AUTHPGM parameter) in the IKJTSOxx member. If xx=00, the member is taken automatically during TSO startup. Otherwise, the member can be activated using the TSO command PARMLIB UPDATE(xx).
Add CTDMON to the list of authorized programs (the AUTHPGM parameter) in the IKJTSO00 member. The member is taken automatically during TSO startup. Any change in the member requires an IPL.
Add CTDMON to CSECT IKJEFTE8. A sample is provided by IBM in IPO1.SAMPLIB and in the TSOAPF member in IPO1.JCLLIB. This method can also be used for TSO/E 1.4 and above, but it is not recommended.
For more information, see the IBM TSO Customization Manual.
If the Control‑D monitor issues message CTMA55E, no APF authorization is granted.
Using this method, Control‑D handles sysouts defined to JES3 with the expression HOLD=TSO. The TSO OUTPUT command or ISPF option 3.8 works as usual.
