The Mail Destination Table

After completing installation, but before using the MAIL services, you must specify several parameters in the MAIL section of the IOAPARM member in the IOA PARM library. For more information, see Message Destination Parameters in IOAPARM.

The MAILDEST member contains the default values, including the nicknames and group names, of intended recipients of e-mails generated by IOAMAIL. Initially these default values are sample values. The user is required to edit the MAILDEST member and specify actual values in place of the sample values.

The MAILDEST member contains the default values, including the nicknames and group names of intended recipients of e-mails generated by IOAMAIL.

If you do not define the global parameters in the MAILDEST member, the IOAMAIL facility will not function.

For more information about nicknames and group names and their use in the operation of IOAMAIL, see IOAMAIL.

The MAILDEST parameters are described in the table.
