Control-M Full Uninstall
The following procedures describe how to uninstall Control-M and all components including add-ons from UNIX and Windows computers:

If you are using a dedicated database, such as Workflow Insights or Workload Archiving, Control-M data is deleted when you uninstall. You must ensure that you have backed up all required data prior to uninstalling Control-M.

If you are using an existing Oracle, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL database, the data is not deleted, when you uninstall.

In a high availability environment, you must uninstall the secondary as well as the primary.
Uninstalling Control-M from UNIX
This procedure describes how to uninstall Control-M including all components from UNIX.
Before You Begin
Ensure that all jobs have ended.
Begin

Log in as a Control-M user.

Navigate to the following directory:
<Install_Folder>/BMCINSTALL/uninstall/DROST.9.0.21.300

Type one of the following commands:

Interactive Uninstall: ./uninstall.sh

Automatic Uninstall: ./uninstall.sh -silent
Control-M is successfully removed from your computer. If you downgraded, Control-M components are up and running.

Log out of the current session.
Uninstalling Control-M from Windows
This procedure describes how to uninstall Control-M including all components from Windows.
Before You Begin
Ensure that all jobs have ended.
Begin

From the Start menu, select Control Panel.

Click Uninstall a program.

Select Control-M 9.0.21.300, and click Uninstall.

Click OK to continue.
Control-M is successfully removed from your computer. If you downgraded, Control-M components are up and running.
Performing an Automatic Control-M Uninstall on Windows
This procedure describes how to uninstall Control-M including all components from Windows via an automatic uninstall.
Before You Begin
Ensure that all jobs have ended.
Begin

Log in to the computer using a user ID that has Administrator permissions.

Navigate to the following directory:
<Install_Folder>\BMCINSTALL\uninstall\DROST.9.0.21.300

Type the following command:
uninstall.cmd -silent
Control-M is successfully removed from your computer.
