Before you can define a File Transfer job in Control-M, you need to create a connection profile in the Control-M Configuration Manager, which enables you to connect to the required FTP server.
A connection profile contains the connection parameters for either the source or destination host,or both, such as hostname, port, communication protocols, username, and password. By adding a connection profile to the CCM, you enable users to connect to the required server with only the connection profile name. Users then can run a job without having to provide authentication details every time they connect to the server.
