Control-M Web Launch

Web Launch is a software deployment tool that enables you to create a software package of a single instance of Control-M/EM client components and then deploy it over the Web to every supported Windows computer in your organization. The Web Launch package can include the following:

• Control-M/EM client components
• Fix packs and patch binaries
• Application forms and templates
• Naming Service (TAO) and SSL configurations

Every time you apply changes to the single instance of Control-M/EM, you can package those changes and update every supported Windows computer in your organization.

Every time users log in to the CCM or Control-M from the Start menu, they receive the latest updates automatically based on the Web Launch packages that you created.

• XML utilities and Reporting Facility are not included in the package.
• You cannot use a new Web Launch package to remove contents that have already been deployed.
• Web Launch is not cluster-aware. If you want to implement Web Launch on a cluster computer, contact BMC Customer Support.
