Configuring databases and clients

To configure your database from Western European language support, complete the task or tasks that correspond to your database vendor:

• Configuring an Oracle database
• Configuring a Sybase database
• Configuring the MSSQL database
• Configuring the MSSQL database client
• Configuring PostgreSQL clients and servers

  NOTE: When using a database not provided by BMC, Control-M requires that the database be configured to return informational messages and error messages in English only.

EXAMPLE: When using Sybase, as a result of using a certain command, the following wording is expected to be received in part of the message:

external error: The attempt to connect to the server failed.

and not the following wording:

Externer Fehler: Versuch, Verbindung zum Server herzustellen, ist fehlgeschlagen
