Configuring the MSSQL database client

The following procedure describes how to configure every computer that has an MSSQL database client, including the Control-M/EM Server and Control-M/Server.

To configure the MSSQL database client:

  1. Confirm that the Default Language parameter is set correctly:
    1. Using a log on name with administrator privileges, choose Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server > Enterprise Manager.
    2. In the Tree view, expand SQL Server directory > Security > Logins.
    3. Check the Default Language value, correct if necessary, and exit.
  2. Choose Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server > Client Network utility.

    The SQL Server Client Network Utility window appears.

  3. On the DB-Library Options tab, clear Automatic ANSI to OEM conversion and select Use international settings.
  4. Click OK.
