Decollating Reports Without Page Control Characters

Most reports produced in modern data centers are controlled by machine control characters or ASA control characters. The control characters designate to the printer (and to Control-V) when a new page starts. However, there are reports that are produced without control characters. Such reports are controlled by the value of parameter LINECT assigned to them (in the DD statement, the job default, or the printer default).

If you want to process such reports by Control-V, you need to specify the number of lines per page in CDAM parameter LINECT in the PRINT/CDAM PARMS field. If the report is written directly to CDAM, parameter LINECT must be specified in the CDAM parameters.
