Use of Extended Address Volumes

The EAVUSE parameter overrides the EAVUSE#C and EAVUSE#D parameters specified in the CTDPARM member for the CDAM files created by the current decollation mission. Similarly, EAVUSE overrides the EAVUSE#V parameter specified in the CTVPARM member for the index files created by the current decollation mission. The EAVUSE=OPT parameter sets the JCL parameter EATTR=OPT for the CDAM and Index files created during the decollation.

The EAVUSE parameter initiates the special primary space calculation for the CDAM files. The size of the primary space is calculated to include the entire decollated sysout.

Note: The special primary space calculation is not initiated if the BLOCKS parameter is explicitly specified for the corresponding ON CLASS or ON TRNCLASS block.
