General Information

ON Statement defaults subparameters are applied to all pages in the job’s reports that are decollated under the ON block and:

• Are not identified by a WHEN statement (unidentified)
• Are identified by a WHEN statement, but an overriding parameter is not defined elsewhere.

Note: The MAX COPIES subparameter applies to all report pages within the ON block. It is unique among the ON Statement Defaults in that no overriding parameter exists for it elsewhere. For more information, see Printing by Original Destination (*SPOOL Option).

PRT COPIES Subparameter

The PRT COPIES subparameter determines the default number of printing copies of the reports defined under the ON statement. Valid values:

• 00 through 97—The specified value is used for unidentified pages, or if no number is specified for the report or recipient in parameter COP# of the Active User Reports list. For more information, see "User Reports" in Chapter 2. A leading zero is required.
• 98—Copy count is equal to the copy count from the JCL multiplied by the copy count of the default user record from either the Permanent or Active User file (depending on the value of parameter S(earch) in the DO USER statement).
• 99—Copy count is taken from the spool (that is, the copy count specified in the JCL).

If ON Statement Default PRT COPIES is omitted, the value of parameter JOB DEFAULTS COPIES are used instead for all the occurrences where this parameter would apply.

LVL Subparameter

The LVL subparameter is the default level (in the Recipient Tree) of a user who should receive every unidentified page of the reports defined under the ON statement. If LVL is omitted, the general JOB DEFAULTS LVL is used instead for all occurrences where this subparameter would apply.

USER Subparameter

The USER subparameter is the default name of a user who should receive every unidentified page of the reports defined under the ON statement. If USER is omitted, the general JOB DEFAULTS USER is used instead for all occurrences where this subparameter would apply.

DEST Subparameter

The DEST subparameter is the default printing destination of the reports defined under the ON statement. This printing destination is used for unidentified pages. If DEST is omitted, the general JOB DEFAULTS DEST is used instead for all occurrences where this subparameter would apply.
