Step 20.2 – Configure IOAGATE parameters

Multiple IOAGATEs can be started concurrently.

The parameters of each IOAGATE are defined in the ECAPARMx member of each IOAGATE in the IOA.PARM library, where x is a unique 1‑character suffix to the member name. The specific ECAPARM member to be loaded and used by a specific IOAGATE is specified by the PSFX parameter at IOAGATE startup. For example, PSFX=X is used with the ECAPARMX member.

When this option is selected, the IOAGATE Parameters Menu is displayed:

  0  ECAPARMx     - Select the ECAPARMx (x=suffix)

  4  Build        - Build the Parameter Member                               

  1. Select option 0, ECAPARMx, to specify the name of the ECAPARMx member you want to edit. Type the name and press Enter. The parameter member name you specified is displayed at the top of the IOAGATE Parameters Menu screen.
  2. Select option 1, Application, to create or update application servers. This is where you specify the application servers in use at your site, meaning, Control‑D/Page On Demand and Control‑D File Transfer option, Control‑M, Control‑O, Control-M/JCL Verify, or any of these. The Create/Update Application Server screen is displayed:

From this screen you can add a new application, by typing Add in the COMMAND field and pressing Enter.
