Consider the following when defining IOA online monitors:
The monitor name and the transactions can be specified literally, that is, as a complete name, or can include mask characters. The asterisk (*) represents any number (including 0) of characters. The question mark (?) represents a single character.
Transactions are associated with a given monitor or a group of monitors as follows:
The transaction name specified by the user is matched against the values in all existing monitor definitions until a match is found. The transaction is routed to one of the active monitors that matches the monitor name, based on the method specified in the BALANCE parameter.
The pattern matching is done according to the order of the monitor definitions and the order of the transaction names.
