Step 13. Install Control-M/JCL Verify

If you do not intend to run Control‑M/JCL Verify at your site, skip this step.

Install Control‑M/JCL Verify following the instructions in the Control‑M/JCL Verify installation chapter of the INCONTROL for z/OS Installation Guide: Installing.

Observe the following rules:

  1. Assign parameter values.

Use ICE to assign values to the current release parameters in the following table. For details, see the DEFPARM member in the IOA.PARM library.

    Parameter

    Description

    %ILPREFJ%

Prefix of the Control‑M/JCL Verify Installation library

    %OLPREFJ%

Prefix of the Control‑M/JCL Verify Operations libraries

Note: The parameters listed in the above table do not exist in Control-M/JCL Verify version 7.

  2. While you are testing the current release, the names of Control‑M/JCL Verify started tasks, such as CTJAREF, must differ from the names of the same started tasks in the version you are now using.
  3. Assign a value to the PROCPRFJ parameter. Assign a value to be used as the three-letter prefix for the Control-M/JCL Verify procedure names. Then adjust the JCL of your production jobs accordingly. For details, see the explanation of PROCPRFA in substep 3 of Step 3. Install the IOA component.
  4. For Edit Macro users, assign a value of the CLISTNMJ parameter. Assign a value to be used as REXX CTJXVER copied from IOA CLIST library to SYSPROC Site library. You can use any valid name for the CLIST that is different from the name of the REXX in the version you are now using.
  5. Assign values in the CTJPARM member.
  6. IOA Security interface must be installed in the version you are currently using. If is not, install the IOA security interface, and enable it.
