Control-D Application Server workload

If a customer defines WLM_ENABLE=Y, the Control-D Application Server connects with the WLM using SYSNAME and SUBSYSNAME during startup. Subsequently, for every IOAAS request that is defined in the CTDASWLM table, the Control-D Application Server passes a message to the WLM with information about the beginning and end times of the transaction.

Each message sent by the IOAAS to the WLM includes a Qualifier Name. The WLM checks if this Qualifier Name exists in any Transaction Name Group, which is used by WLM to determine the corresponding Service Class.

If the current IOAAS request (Qualifier Name) is not defined in any Transaction Name Group, the default Service Class from the generic subsystem type definition is used.

The WLM can change the priority of the corresponding Service Class goal in the IOA Application Server, to provide the required response time.
