Using the Work Load Manager (WLM) to manage response time of IOA Application Server

Response time for Control‑D/WebAccess users is very important, and becomes critical at the sites where many users are working simultaneously and if the workload changes throughout the production day.

This option introduces a way to manage response time according to the customer’s requirements, by providing an interface in the IOA Application Server (IOAAS) to the Work Load Manager (WLM).

A special table in the WLM contains definitions of transaction types, which the IOASS uses to register every critical transaction in the WLM. According to this registration, the WLM can analyze average response time, and can automatically change priorities on the IOASS as required.
