Xerox Reports

Xerox resources are physically located in the Xerox printer. For the transformation process to work for Xerox reports, all Xerox resources must be placed in libraries on the mainframe, using the following guidelines:

Downloading Xerox Resources—To download Xerox resource files from the printer, use one of the following methods:

TAPE VOLINIT 6250

COPY TAPE WRITE LABEL *.JSL

COPY TAPE WRITE LABEL *.FNT

COPY TAPE WRITE LABEL *.FRM

COPY TAPE WRITE LABEL *.IMG

COPY TAPE WRITE LABEL *.LGO

COPY TAPE WRITE LABEL *.ICT

TAPE ENDFILE

END

Libraries—The required Xerox libraries.

Resources—For the transformation, the following font resources must always be available:

In addition, the following text resources should be available:

Sample resources are supplied in the IOA SAMPREPS library.

Parameters—You must specify the JSL and JDE parameters in the Report Clique.

If the JSL resource that is referenced by the report refers to a JDE/PDE that is not found in the JSL, add a line to the syscatlg resource with the JSL name that contains that JDE/PDE.

Example

SYSCAT

TYPE=PDE,RESNAME=PP0010,FILE=PDE001,CRDATE=1997250,CRT

IME=132200,SIZE=0,PATH='PDE001.JSL';

In this example, the JDE/PDE name is PP0010, located in the PDE001 JSL member.
