Journal file activity is controlled by issuing modify commands to the Control‑M monitor. The following modify commands are available:

This command initializes journaling. The steps described Journal File Initialization are performed, after which any changes made to the Active Jobs file and to prerequisite conditions in the IOA Conditions file are recorded in the Journal file.

This command stops journaling. The Control‑M monitor continues normal processing without recording any changes in the Journal file.
