Additional features
With the IDL modify commands (See Modify commands), the IDL facility can be used to
- perform service functions in order to tune IDL facility behavior (see DABAPI and DUP)
- change or set a default group ID (see DEFGROUP)
- display level data of a specific module, modules, CSECT, or CSECTs (see SHOWCSECT and SHOWMODULE)
- display the level data of a predefined group of modules, as listed in the IOALSUM Summary Table (see SHOWGROUP)
- display level data (see SHOWLEVEL)
- perform service functions useful when monitoring an address space or when finding problems (see SHOWMEMORY)
- display a full list of tasks and modules currently running in an address space (see SHOWMODULES)
- display modules or CSECTs that cannot be identified (see SHOWSHORT and SHOWUNKNOWN)
- display level data snapshots (see SHOWSNAP)
- create level data snapshots and place them in storage by means of a modify command (see SNAP)
