A connection profile contains the connection parameters to a specified server, such as host name, port, user name, and password. By adding a connection profile to the Control-M Configuration Manager, you enable Control-M for Java users to connect to the required server with only the connection profile name. Users then can run a job without having to provide authentication details every time they connect to the relevant server.
