Control-M for Java connection profile management

A connection profile contains the connection parameters to a specified server, such as host name, port, user name, and password. By adding a connection profile to the Control-M Configuration Manager, you enable Control-M for Java users to connect to the required server with only the connection profile name. Users then can run a job without having to provide authentication details every time they connect to the relevant server.

Before you create a connection profile, you need to locate the following:

• The specific Java Runtime Environment that your Application Server vendor requires (JRE HOME Path account parameter).
• The location of the relevant Application Server client directory (the Client Jars Root Directory parameter).
• The Naming Context environment values required to connect to your specific application server (Naming Context parameter).
