Creating a Job Definition template for Delete jobs
This procedure describes how to create a Job Definition template that is used for Delete jobs. The Write job spans jobs that copies data from the SAP database to archive files and spawns the Delete jobs in SAP using the Delete Job Definition template.
To create a Job Definition template for Delete jobs:
- From the Job Type list, select SAP R3.
- From the Connection Profile field, click
.The Connection Profile Selection dialog box appears.
- From the Action drop-down list, select Run a pre-defined SAP job.
- In the Host/Host Group field, specify the name of the Control-M/Agent on which you want to define and run jobs.
- Click SAP More and then select Detect Spawned Jobs.
- From the Detect and Create by drop-down list, select A specific job definition.
- In the Job Name field, specify the name of the Store template to use as a template when creating spawned jobs.
- Define the required parameters for the job definition template for Delete jobs. For more information, see: SAP Data Archiving parameters.

.The Delete job definition is saved as a template for further SAP Data Archiving job definitions.
