This procedure describes how to create an account in Control-M Messaging API.
- Do one of the following:
- Windows: From All Programs, highlight Control-M Web Services and Messaging API and click API for Messaging Account Management.
- UNIX: Navigate to the installation directory, and run bin/ctmwsapiacc.
The Control-M Messaging API - Messaging Account Management dialog box appears.
- From the Control-M Messaging API - Messaging Account Management dialog box, highlight the account you want to create and do one of the following:
- Click
. - From the File menu, click New Account.
The New Account Template Section dialog box appears.
- From the New Account Template Section dialog box, in the General tab type the Account parameters, as described in Messaging API general tab parameters.
- From the Runtime Environment tab type, the JRE HOME path or click Browse.
NOTE: Certain application servers (for example, IBM Websphere) require the use of its own JRE in order to function correctly. If this is the case, specify the JRE path that is located in the application servers installation instead of the standard Sun or machine pre-installed JRE.
- To type the runtime parameters, click Advanced Settings. For more information, see: Advanced Runtime Parameters.
- From the Messaging Server tab, do one of the following and click Apply.
- From the Queue parameters tab, type the Queue parameters.
- From the EM Servers tab, type the Account definition - EM Servers tab parameters.
NOTE: (Optional) If you want to ensure the parameter values are correct, click Apply and then click Validate. Defining nonexistent JVM parameters results in connection failures.
- Click OK.
