Analyzing Output of an active job

This procedure describes how to view Output of a job.

NOTE: To view the output of z/OS jobs, ensure that you have Control-M/Restart installed. In addition, if a z/OS job is no longer included in the Active Jobs file (AJF), ensure that the job is archived in the History file.

To analyze Output of an active job:

  1. In the Viewpoint, click on the job you want to view.

    The Job Properties pane appears.

  2. Click Output.

    The Output information appears.

  3. Select a date to view Output from the dropdown list, or click Show Latest to view the latest Output.
  4. If the output size is over the size limit, click Get Data and after the data is loaded, click Open.

The Output data appears in the external viewer that you have defined in Job Properties settings.

NOTE: You can change the data limit that prompts you to open output in an external viewer by updating the OutputAutoLoadLimit parameter, as described in Control-M/EM general parameters.

  5. In the Find field, type a word or phrase to search for in the Output.
  6. From the Font size list, select a font size for the Output text.
