Changing the AFT key database password

This procedure describes how to change the key database password from the default password that is configured with Control-M for AFT to a more secure password.

NOTE: If this is the first time, you are changing the kdb password, the default password is cmforaft.

To change the key database password:

1. Navigate to the following location:

   <Control-M/Agent_Home_Dir>\CM\AFT\data\SSL\bin

2. Type the following command:

   change_pass

3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

   KDB password and registry/configuration files are updated.
