Updating Control-M/EM API

This procedure describes how to update Control-M/EM API, which enables users of previous versions to work in version 8.0.00.

Before you begin

Ensure you complete the following:

• Installing Control-M/EM API
• Configuring Control-M/EM API

To update the Control-M/EM API:

1. Set your environment using one of the provided scripts:
   • Microsoft Windows: emapi_env.bat
   • UNIX emapi_env.sh

   NOTE: If you do not use the provided script, ensure that the startup script and the CLASSPATH point to the new classes.

2. Update your applications and XML requests.
3. (optional) Remove the emapi-7xx directory from the previous version.
