If the user is an administrator on the computer, ensure that the user does not belong to the Guests group.A user belonging to the Guests group that attempts to run Web Launch might not be able to deploy client components from the web page. The following message (available by clicking Details in the Cannot Start Application dialog box) is issued:
The profile for the user is a temporary profile.
This occurs when a non-administrator user that is defined in the Guests group attempts to run Web Launch. To work around this problem, either:
- Do not add non-administrator users to the Guests group, because this configures the user profile as temporary.
- If the non-administrator user is already defined as a Guest, manually change the User Profile path for that user. When this path is changed, Microsoft Windows automatically copies this user’s settings to this new path location whenever the user logs out the computer, and then re-copies the settings to the Document and Settings directory location the next time the user logs in.
