Once you have implemented Job scheduling in the Planning domain, you want to ensure that Jobs are processing as required. If you do identify a problem or temporary business need, you will want to ensure that business stays on track. This means not only getting at the root cause of the problem and fixing it, but sometimes bypassing the problem or applying a temporary fix to it.
Control-M Monitoring domain enables you to view, monitor and control all enterprise wide batch flows. By using the Monitoring domain, you can see the progress of your batch flows, and identify problems and potential problems. You can monitor the processing of Jobs, perform critical user tasks, handle problems, and solve various issues.
Batch flows usually exist in a distributed system spanning many computers of different types. You can view and monitor Jobs on a particular Control-M/Server, Jobs belonging to a specific batch service or specific application, and Jobs having a particular status, such as failed Jobs. In the Monitoring domain, you can use customizable and dynamic Viewpoints to allow you to display only those Jobs and Job flows of interest. For example, you can view and monitor:
