Take into consideration that some parameters/options might not appear in your properties pane, if they were not specified in the User View you applied.
To create a Folder/Job:
In the Workspace, depending on what you selected when you created the Workspace; SMART or Regular Folder, the Folder appears in the Workspace. Do the following:
Regular Folder: In a Regular Folder, you can only modify the General parameters. For more information, see Regular Folder parameters.
SMART Folder: In a SMART Folder, you can modify the parameters as described in, SMART Folder parameters.
Add a new Regular Folder or SMART Folder as follows:
Click the Job Types drop-down list.
Select Folder or SMART Folder.
Define the Folder parameters.
After you have defined your Folder definitions, you can then start creating your Jobs.
Click the Job Types drop-down list, and select the relevant Job type.
Drag and drop the Job type in the designated Folder.
In the General tab, define essential information about the Job, such as type of Job, script, program, depending on the Job type you select. Each Job type has a set of parameters, and these parameters are listed in Job types.
In the Scheduling tab, specify the Folder/Job scheduling criteria. In a SMART Folder, you can define scheduling criteria that is applied to all Jobs in the Folder. For more information on scheduling, see Job scheduling.
In the Prerequisites tab, define runtime preconditions and instructions, such as required system resources and flow dependencies, such as which Jobs must precede the current Jobs. For more information, see Job prerequisites.
In the Actions tab, create post-processing instructions, such as cleanup, notifications and escalations. For more information, see Job actions.
NOTE: If you are using Workload Change Manager, you might have Site Standards applied on the Folder. Therefore, you must adhere to the rules set on the Folder. Also take into consideration that some parameters do not appear depending on the User View that is applied.
After you have defined all of your Folders/Jobs instructions, you can do the following:
If you are using Workload Change Manager, you can submit the Workspace as a request to the Control-M scheduler, as described in Submitting a Workspace as a request.
