Defining the Recipient Tree Operations Control Subtree

Since the Recipient Tree is one of the most important operations control tools, it is recommended to create within the tree a subtree for special report processing control purposes. For example:

10 (operations) OP-MNGR

   90 (CD-control) CD-MNGR

      95 (op-user) NULL

      95 PRODCNTL

      95 UNIDENT

The user NULL serves as a destination for reports that should be identified but are never printed. This user should never be included in a printing mission.

User PRODCNTL receives all the JCL/SYSPRINT (MSGCLASS) messages of the jobs so they can be reviewed online.

The user UNIDENT receives every unidentified page in the reports.

Additional special purpose users can be defined to solve specific problems at your site.
