The maximum length of local variable names is 20 characters. The first character must be alphabetic (A-Z). The remaining characters may be alphabetic, numeric, or the symbols @, _, #, and $. Local variable names are not case sensitive. Local variable names cannot start with Database prefix DB_ or System variable prefix SYS.
