IOAGLV – Utility for managing IOA Global Variables

The IOAGLV utility runs as a batch job and enables the users to manage IOA Global variables.

IOA Global variables are kept in the IOAVAR database and are loaded to a memory pool during the starting of the Control-O or CMEM monitor. This utility handles IOA Global variables in the IOAVAR memory pool.

The IOA Global variable has the name and the value. The layout of complete variable name is path\varname, where path can contain several levels started from \M or \O and separated by ‘\’. The following paths can be specified in the IOA Global variables used in Control-M:

\M\application

\M\application\group

\M\application\group\job

\M\POOLS\poolname

The utility can perform the following actions:

• list paths matching the path prefix specified in the input parameter
• view the variable names and values related to the path or path prefix specified in the input parameter
• load variables from a dataset with the path specified in the input parameter
• delete variables from the specified path or delete one specified variable
• add new variables (name and value) or update existing variable values

The utility with the functions updating IOA Global variables cannot be submitted in parallel with the online IV screen, which enables the users to update the IOAVAR database.
