The ZIIPXBMO parameter is provided in the IOAPARM member for offloading IOA Online Monitor I/O workloads to zIIP with XBM (Extended Buffer Manager). The default is N, that the I/O workloads are not offloaded to zIIP with XBM.
The XBM modify command allows the IOA Online Monitor to activate the offloading of eligible I/O workloads from general purpose processors to zIIP processors with XBM. This way XBM address space can be started after INCONTROL address spaces, without requiring the INCONTROL address spaces to be restarted.
For the IOA Online Monitor, the XBM modify operator command syntax is as follows:

where x is the monitor ID.
