Exit IATUX30 must allow the Control‑M/Analyzer Runtime Environment to issue subsystem requests.
JES3 has a special security exit for controlling subsystem requests. The exit controls two types of subsystem requests:
Before the Control‑M/Analyzer format module (CTBFRM) formats the Active Balancing file, it checks that no active (executing) job is updating the Active Balancing file. This check is performed using the job status subsystem request. JES3 Exit IATUX30 can prevent Control‑M/Analyzer from receiving the status of the job.
Control‑M/Analyzer reads the sysout from the spool using the standard MVS subsystem interface. JES3 Exit IATUX30 can prevent the Control‑M/Analyzer Runtime environment from reading the output of jobs from the spool. A common symptom is that Control‑M/Analyzer does not find any output for the current job on the spool although output exists.
If JES3 Exit IATUX30 is used to check and prevent subsystem requests by unauthorized users, then it must be modified to allow the Control‑M/Analyzer Runtime environment to issue subsystem read requests for the current job in which it executes.
