Step 2.11 – Control-M/Tape media parameters

Select this step to define media parameters.

The media definitions are contained in the CTTPARM member.

Table 116 Media parameters

Parameter	Description
Name	Logical media name. Maximum length: 8 characters.
Desc	Media description. Maximum length: 10 characters.
Capacity	Amount of compressed data (in megabytes) that can fit on the tape device. Valid range: 0 through 2047000000. For example, for a media capacity of 40 GB (120 GB at 3-to-1 compression), use 40960 (40 x 1024).
STKPCNT	Percentage of this media that can be filled up by dynamic stacking. Valid range: 0 through 99.
