Step 12 – Conversion considerations

Once the Media Database is created and initialized, it must be loaded, or converted, or both, using Control‑M/Tape utilities. The following options are available:

• conversion from CA‑1 database
• conversion from CA‑TLMS database
• conversion from EPIC/MVS database
• conversion from DFSMSrmm database
• conversion from MVS catalog
• initial loading of the database, where no previous tape management software is being used
