Step 3.4 – Define volume serials for index files

Specify the following parameter:

Parameter	Description
IXVOL	Default volume serial numbers for Control‑V index files. The volume serial number must range from 1 through 6 characters. Valid values are: ' ' (Blank) – Use only the IXUNIT definition. (xxxxxx,yyyyyy,...) – Use the IXUNIT parameter only on the specified volumes. A maximum of 6 volumes can be specified.
