Step 2.3 – Define levels in Recipient Tree

Select this step to define the TREE parameter.

The Tree Definition is a part of CTDPARM.

Modify the definitions of the levels in the Control‑D Recipient Tree. The levels must be defined in pairs, a level code of two characters, and a level description of 20 characters.

The Control‑D Recipient Tree is the list of all report recipients organized according to a hierarchy. The TREE parameter is used to define the structure of the tree. For more information about defining the Control‑D Recipient Tree, see the Control‑D and Control‑V chapter in the INCONTROL for z/OS Administrator Guide.

In this step, it is not necessary to define the Recipient Tree in its final implementation form. The structure can be used as it is currently defined in the member. Alternatively, a tree can be defined for testing purposes. The structure of the tree can be modified at any time.
