The FORMSUB1 job allocates and formats a file that is used by the Control‑M monitor to communicate with all active Control‑M Event Manager monitors or Control‑O monitors that are active in the complex.

Note: If you already performed this job for Control-M, do not perform it again for Control-O.

The disk on which this file is to be allocated must have the following characteristics:

• The Control‑M monitor must have WRITE access to it.
• All the CMEM monitors or Control‑O monitors in all computers must have READ access to it.
• The disk must not be busy, and should not be reserved for any computer in the complex; otherwise, there may be serious performance degradation in CMEM and in the Control‑M monitor.
• Change the VOL and UNIT parameters to define a disk suitable for this file.

Submit the job and check for successful completion. All job steps must end with a condition code of 0.
