Step 3.1 – Control-M libraries and repository

Enter values for the parameters shown in the following table:

Note: When specifying values for parameters or subparameters that include both unit and volser fields, you must either define both the Unit and Volser fields, or leave both of them blank. Do not enter a value for only one of them.

Parameter

Description

ILPREFM

High level data set name qualifiers (prefix) of Control-M Installation libraries.

  • Mandatory
  • Maximum length: 35 characters

The value specified for this parameter must be different from the values specified for ILPREFx parameters of other products.

ILUNITM

Disk unit on which Control‑M Installation libraries are placed.

Specify a generic unit (for example, 3390 – not SYSDA).

ILVOLM

Serial number of the volume on which the Control‑M installation libraries are placed.

OLPREFM

High level data set name prefixes of Control‑M Operations libraries.

  • Mandatory
  • Maximum length is 27 characters.

OLUNITM

Disk unit on which Control‑M Operations libraries are placed.

Specify a generic unit (for example, 3390 – not SYSDA).

OLVOLM

Volume serial number on which Control‑M Operations libraries are placed.

DBPREFM

High level data set name prefixes of Control‑M Repository files.

  • Mandatory
  • Maximum: 27 characters.

DBUNITM

Unit name for Control‑M repository.

Specify a generic unit (such as 3390 – not SYSDA).

DBVOLM

Volume serial number for Control‑M repository.

STATFILE

Name of the Control‑M Job Execution Statistics VSAM file. BMC recommends that the ILPREFM prefix qualifier be used to name this file.

  • Mandatory
  • Maximum length: 38 characters

The installation default space allocation for this file is 5 cylinders. To re-size (expand) the STATFILE, adjust the STTPSIZ and STTSSIZE parameters using Step 2.2 of the Control-M customization in the ICE Customization process. VSUNITM

Unit name for the Control‑M Statistics VSAM file.

  • Mandatory

Specify a generic unit (for example, 3390 – not SYSDA).

VSVOLM

Volume name for the Control‑M Statistics VSAM file.
