The VTAM application should always be active; therefore, it should be defined in the ATCCONxx member in the VTAM definition library.

To activate the VTAM application manually, use the following VTAM command:

VARY NET,ACT,ID=IOAAPPL

Note: If the VTAM application is defined as a MINOR NODE in a different MAJOR MODE, use the appropriate MAJOR NODE name in the VARY command.
