In addition to the structure slot availability requirement, you must have enough storage space in your Coupling Facility to support the maximum size you specify for the IOA structures. Total the planned size for the list, cache, and lock structures. If your coupling facility does not have enough storage space available, try specifying structures with a smaller maximum size.
To check available Coupling Facility storage space, enter the following command from the MVS console:
DISPLAY CF
An example of the display output is shown below. The FREE SPACE statistic shows the current storage available in each partition of the Coupling Facility.

Note: For XAE Variable Databases, it is important to specify enough storage space to keep the structures from filling up, but not so much storage that Coupling Facility resources are wasted. If either structure reaches its storage limit, XAE processing may be unsuccessful.
