Step 5.2 – IOA Core

Enter values for the IOA Core configuration parameters shown in the following table.

Parameter

Description

DBPREFA

High level data set name qualifiers (prefix) of the IOA Core (IOA Log file, IOA Conditions file).

DBUNITA

Unit name for IOA Core. Specify a generic unit (such as 3390—not SYSDA).

DBVOLA

Volume serial number for IOA Core.

DUALUNIT

Unit name for IOA Conditions mirror file.

The dual file should be placed on a different disk and (preferably) on a different disk controller than the rest of the IOA Core.

DUALVOL

Volume serial number for IOA Conditions mirror file.

The dual file should be placed on a different disk and (preferably) on a different disk controller than the rest of the IOA Core.

LOGUNIT

Disk unit on which the IOA LOG file is placed.

Specify a generic unit (for example, 3390—not SYSDA).

The default is the value specified in the Environment Table screen.

LOGVOL

Volume serial number of the IOA Log file.

BMC recommends that you place the IOA Log file on a different disk than the rest of the IOA Core.

LOGIUNIT

Disk unit on which the IOA LOG Index file is placed.

Specify a generic unit (for example, 3390—not SYSDA).

The default is the value specified in the Environment Table screen.

LOGIVOL

Volume serial number of the IOA Log Index file.

BMC recommends that you place the IOA Log Index file on a different disk than the rest of the IOA Core.

EAVUSE#A

Allows allocation of Control-D Report Decollating Definitions library and Control-M Scheduling Tables library on EAV (Extended Address Volumes). Optional.

Valid values are:

  • OPT- Allows allocation on EAV. Default.
  • NO - Prevents allocation on EAV.

    Note: When specifying values for parameters or subparameters that include both unit IOA Core and volser fields, you must either define both the Unit and Volser fields, or leave both of them blank. Do not enter a value for only one of them.
