Overview

Various user exits are provided to enable you to modify the operation of INCONTROL products to suit your site’s needs. These exits are contained in members of the IOA SAMPEXIT library. The names of these members are usually in the format IOAXnnn, IOXXnnn or CTxXnnn, where x indicates the INCONTROL product and nnn is the exit number.

Note: Some special exits (also known as localized versions of exits) are also provided. Special exits are identified by an additional character at the end of the member name (for example, IOAX006D). All special exits are associated with a default exit (an exit whose member name matches the first seven characters of the special exit name).

A full explanation of how to use each exit is contained at the beginning of the corresponding default exit member.

The documentation in this chapter assumes that the reader has a general knowledge of SMP/E.
