The binary Images stored in datasets can be packed on the mainframe using the supplied CTVPACK REXX utility. The CTD PACKLIST control file (similar to LIST.TXT pc file) should be created as input for this utility. Output of this utility, which contains an 80 byte BLOB record before each binary object, is directed either to CDAM file or spool in order to use it in the Control‑D decollation mission.
